For years Poppy struggled trying to have children all while raising her four dogs. In My Life as a Dog Mom, she candidly shares her honest and humorous accounts of her challenges and heroics, having you laughing as well as touching your heart.

She wrote the book to help spread the awareness that families come in different forms. Poppy says, "Life isn't always a Norman Rockwell painting. It can sometimes resemble scribbles on a piece of paper with no beginning or end. Life always gives us what we need. We only have to see it that way."

WHAT READERS ARE SAYING

"I loved your book. Made me cry through the whole thing as I love animals too and no one ever knows what is actually happening in another's personal life that is affecting their daily development and thoughts of life until it is outwardly expressed."

"Just finished reading My Life as a Dog mom.

I cried.

I laughed.

I felt the deep love and loss.

Beautiful.

Thank you for sharing your family story."

"Enjoyed your touching memoir about family, love, loss, and acceptance. Very inspiring and funny too! Great job Poppy!"

"It touched like a bolt of lightning because I had made some of the hurtful remarks to those unable to conceive a child. Cut to my heart when I realized that my comments were probably more hurtful than helpful. I am more educated now, thanks to Poppy's book."

"Poppy has insight into a side of life and parenting I had no idea of. Her humor, heartaches, disappointments; gave me an awakening for sure. Never asking for pity, just understanding that their situation was not of their making, she tells their family story. The heartbreak of losing parts of her family along the way is so important to us all. They were their children. Definitely a must read!"
